MELBOURNE — AUSTRALIA

The Reel Good Film Festival (RGFF) is an annual short film festival dedicated to celebrating emerging Australian filmmakers.

Held at Lido Cinemas in Hawthorn, RGFF offers a distinctly social, immersive experience: snappy 25-minute screening sessions running every hour across multiple screens, with plenty of time in between for audiences to grab a drink, catch up with friends, and debate the films. It’s a day built for film lovers, creatives, and the wider community to come together in a spirit of storytelling, experimentation, and connection.

For the third year in a row, RGFF partnered with Release The Zebra to craft their festival campaign. Building on the visual guidelines we established in 2023 (which centre around the festival’s dynamic, multi-stage experience), we continued to use our signature modular layout system. Each year, we redraw a fresh set of custom illustrations to spotlight the festival’s theme: an imaginative, slightly trippy journey into the eyes and minds of Australian filmmakers.

Across our ongoing collaborations, visual consistency has become a defining part of the RGFF brand. While each edition introduces new characters, motifs, and visual surprises, the core illustration style, layout structure, and vibrant colour palette remain consistent making the festival instantly recognisable across posters, digital assets, motion pieces, and venue collateral. This balance between familiarity and novelty ensures the brand grows stronger each year while keeping audiences curious and engaged.
