Hey! I’m Anaïs

I’m the founder and art director behind this one-woman creative studio. My journey began as a Theatre Director in France, where I managed Sound & Light shows before jumping into Visual Communications as an Art Director.
I have a passion for creating bold and engaging visual storytelling as well as crafting accessories. If you’re looking for designs that kick-ass, you’re in good hands.

Pssst, if you’re wondering how to pronounce my name, it’s "Ahn-ay-ees” (like the fragrance)

Did you know that in French, a "zebra" is not only an animal but also a high-potential individual?

At Release The Zebra, our mission is to help your business release its full potential. Whether it's through branding or craft design, we devote our energy to making you shine.

Half human 〰️ Half zebra 〰️

Here is my manifesto. Enjoy!

I believe everyone can have a sense of aesthetics, of what’s pretty or not so pretty. But branding is way more than that. Even more than just a logo. It involves strategy, psychology, market research, etc. Of course it has to look good. But it also needs to tell a story. Branding has to be cohesive in substance and in form. That’s why branding takes time and should be considered as an investment, not an expense. Good branding will lasts for decades if not more. You won’t build brand awareness by changing your branding every year or two. So think in the long run: it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.

I don’t take life too seriously but I’m serious about delivering high-quality work.

If we work together, I’ll treat your business as it was my own. Having high standards (hello perfectionism), you can rest assured that your brand is in good hands. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs and having build brands for the last 7+ years, I know a thing or two about what you need. I take pride in every project I worked for because I put all my energy into it. It’s just how I am as a person, it’s all or nothing. I prefer to say no to a project than being half committed to it.

Go big or go home.

It’s the saying that I used to say as a joke with my friends but it became my mantra across the years. From being Theatre Director at 18 yo to leaving my country to start a business in Australia from nothing: I love challenges and pushing the boundaries. Growth doesn’t come from your comfort zone.

Providing fun and memorable experiences is simply in our essence.

I might not be your person if you’re looking for a beige-aesthetic, neutral tones and minimalist design (no offense for people that like that though) but if you’re ready to be seen, to stand out from your competitors, hit me up. I can assure you that you won’t go unnoticed. Providing fun and memorable experiences is simply in our essence.

Our engagement

  • Independent Arts

Supporting arts in all forms has been something close to our hearts since 2012 where Anaïs worked as theatre director. Every year, the zebra dedicates time for cultural and art events. You can usually spot Anaïs volunteering at the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

  • Marine Conservation

It might be surprising to see a zebra underwater but it happens more often than you think! Anaïs is a certified diver, involved in PADI ’Dive Against Debris’ which tend to reduce marine debris by 50% in targeted countries by 2030.

  • Education

Whether it’s giving talks in university, mentoring master degree students in visual communications or being part of examination boards at intuit.lab design school (Paris), the zebra takes pride in helping young professionals.
