Kobalt is a French startup which creates customised business applications.
When Kobalt reached out to me, they needed branding assets to start their company. My constraint was to keep their logotype as close as possible to the original and create their whole graphic universe. I opened the square in their logotype to have a better sense of their ‘custom-made’ work, put more vibrancy into their blue and changed the font. Then, I created their graphic territory while doing their website templates. Their illustration style uses a 'grain' to express the craftsmanship aspect of their work.
